Introducing the Grinny Awards in celebration of National Orthodontic Health Month

by Ortho Tribune

Kansas City, MO: You’ve heard of the Oscars, the Tonys, the Grammys and even the Ginis. Now, there are … the Grinnys! In honor of National Orthodontic Health Month, Smiles Change Lives (SCL) is holding a video contest in which contestants will compete for the highest honor, the 2011 Grinny Award. The contest is open to all Smiles Change Lives orthodontic providers and practices.

How does it work? Apply before Sept. 26 for the opportunity to become an SCL guest videographer during National Orthodontic Health Month. Ten lucky SCL providers will be awarded a Flip video camera to record and share their stories. The camera is theirs to keep. A panel of judges will then select one contestant to be a Grand Prize winner.

The Grand Prize winner will receive new uniforms courtesy of Embrace Smiles (up to $500 value) and a Grinny Award for display in their office. If desired, the $500 uniform credit may be substituted for other promotional products from Embrace Smiles.

For more information and contest guidelines, visit smileschangelives.org/grinnys. To apply to be a contestant, visit smileschangelives.org/grinnyapp.

Contestant applications must be received before Sept. 26, 2011. Apply now for a chance to receive a Flip video camera and a shot at the Grand Prize!

SCL will hold a concurrent video contest for patients and alumni. Any current or former SCL patient is eligible to enter online at smileschangelives.org/grinnyapp. They, too, will be eligible to be awarded a Flip video camera. All contestants will be eligible to win the patient/alumni Grand Prize, a $100 Visa gift card and an Oral-B powerbrush.

This campaign is made possible with support from Crest Oral-B and Embrace Smiles.
