Orthodontist Dr. Adam Schulhof of northern New Jersey has been elected to the advisory board of Lingualcare, maker of the new generation of braces for mouths of all ages.  

After graduating top of his class from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr Schulhof was accepted to the prestigious orthodontic program at Columbia University. After his post-graduate training at Columbia University, Dr. Schulhof searched for what he called “the ultimate cosmetic solution.” He became certified as a premier provider of iBraces, the only 100 percent customizable, hidden braces technology on the market today.

Dr. Schulhof is among a small group of orthodontists who practice his craft using this unique technique, but its popularity is growing.

“Adult patients have always been hesitant to wear braces because of the stigma and look associated with visible mouth appliances,” he said. “But with the invisible or tongue side braces, I have such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment as I watch my patients literally transform visit to visit.”

Dr. Schulhof finds particular satisfaction in training others. He is a clinical instructor at Columbia University, where he’s working on a lingual orthodontic training program for the prestigious institution.

“Lingual orthodontics is a specialty within a specialty, and many orthodontic programs do not include it within their current curriculum,” Dr. Schulhof said. “Presently, it’s a technique used only by some of the most dedicated orthodontists.”

As co-founder of KinderSmiles, a pediatric dentistry and orthodontics practice located in Oradell, N.J., Dr. Schulhof has been very well received as a lecturer at 3M, and because of his thriving practice he has provided valuable insight to the Lingualcare.

“This appointment is an honor, and I am extremely excited to continue teaching what I believe to be the future of orthodontics and helping this wonderful company continue to improve an already fantastic system,” he said.

Dr. Adam Schulhof specializes in cosmetic solutions to orthodontics, such as Invisalign, iBraces and other orthodontic treatment options.

After receiving his D.M.D. at the University of Medicine & Dentistry, where he graduated top of his class, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. Dr. Schulhof was then accepted to the prestigious orthodontic program at Columbia University. After graduating Columbia University for his Orthodontic specialty training, Dr. Schulhof volunteers as a clinical instructor at the university and lectures for 3M.

When not fixing smiles, Dr. Schulhof can be found snowboarding, riding his motorcycle, or at home in Bergen County with his wife, three children and two dogs.
